Spring-y Madness giveaway!

March 9, 2009
Have I mentioned that I LOVE the gals at Hachette? Well, if not, I sincerely apologize for the oversight! And:

I LOVE THE GALS AT HACHETTE!

Alright, with that on the record... Let's get to the good stuff, shall we?

drey's library proudly presents (courtesy of Hachette Book Group, without whom I'd be scrounging 'round my shelves) the SPRING-Y MADNESS giveaway. Five winners will each receive the following (yes, all of 'em!):

Throw Out Fifty Things: Clear the Clutter, Find Your Life by Gail Blanke
(heh, the Mr. SO NEEDS THIS book!)

No Matter What!: 9 Steps to Living the Life You Love by Lisa Nichols

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Home: No-Nonsense Advice that Will Inspire You to CLEAN like the DICKENS by Thelma Meyer
(eh, who am I kidding? I need this!)

The Power to Change Today: Simple Secrets to the Satisfied Life by Gregory Dickow

Work in Progress: An Unfinished Woman's Guide to Grace by Kristin Armstrong

And now, presenting the rules:
This giveaway will run till 10:00pm on March 31st, and is open to US & Canada residents only. Sorry, no P.O. Boxes - HBG rules.

To enter, share a Spring-y thought... I like Spring. Don't love it, that's for Summer. But if it's Spring, then Summer's not too far off. (unless you live in Wisconsin, where Spring can somehow hand over the reins to Winter for a bit) Followers get an extra entry. Comment & let me know. Two extra entries for sharing this with the WORLD! =P Comment with the link to your actual post.

And don't forget to come back & find out if you've won. Winners will have 3 days to get me their mailing info, after which I'll draw a replacement. If I have an email address, I can follow up if I don't hear from you, but if not...

And as usual, check out the fabulous West of Mars -- Win a Book for more Spring-y Madness (my term, not Hachette's or anyone else's!) giveaways... That's it. Have at it! =)

Snow two weeks ago, a week below 30 and highs near 80 today. Spring must be around the corner, as the fruit trees are starting to show buds and even an open flower or two.

I love spring. Not only does it bring warmer weather to Oklahoma it also brings the thunderstorms. I love to listen to the rain and thunder, especially at night when I can get all snuggled up in bed. :0) I also love all the daffodils. My mom has them planted all around her house. When I was little, I'd wait for the first ones to bloom and then I'd pick them all and "surprise" her with them. Now I've taught my niece to do the same thing. She loves it.

Thanks!

I live in the South, and I think spring may already be here. The trees are budding, and I have flowers blooming. It has been around 80 degrees here, and I'm so glad. We had a snow storm on March 1st., and got 4 inches of snow. I love this time of year when the flowers bloom, it's so pretty.

Spring is fantastic because it's finally not winter - things start to grow, and you can open your windows - even if for only a little while - to get some fresh air, and get rid of the stale air in our houses and cars. It's wonderful.

drey said...

Oh, to be somewhere where the flowers are already budding! Here's it's just wet & sloppy. Who knows if another snowstorm's headed this way yet this season? *sigh* Oh well. Good thing we haven't put away the snow boots. =)

I love spring, especially this spring. I'm in a new neighborhood, far away from the pesky mockingbird that has driven me crazy for years -- during mating season (spring) mockingbirds call all night long. And what did this use for its call? (Remember, it's a mockingbird.) A car alarm! Can you believe it!?! The kind of alarm that has 5 or 6 alternating sounds. All night long! All. Night. Long!! O.K. That was then. This is now. No mockingbird in my new neighborhood. Yay! Thanks for the chance to win these books - its a fabulous collection!

I love spring, especially after the long winter we've just had. I love when the daffodils start to come up because then I know spring is not far off -- yhea! I live in Indiana where it's not too snowy or cold now. Actually we've had a few days of decent weather that has made me think of spring.

I love spring where it's getting warm but not yet too hot and where everything is in it's rebirth stage. Flowers are popping through the soil and trees are budding out. I love to walk around my yard every day and see what new things are blooming.

The Spring is what we live for here in Miami. It's the only time of the year where you can shut off the a/c and open a window and feel a light cool breeze. It's dry and in the 70's during the day and at night it can be down right cold in the 60's. it's lovely. The rest of the year, it's smothering humid heat, the dreaded rainy season and hurricanes. And always fridge a/c's running where ever you go. Spring is the best time to go to the beach!

For me, spring only means one thing--allergies. I mean, I live in Washington and even though today is the first day of spring, it's still cold outside. Yesterday it rained too.. The only thing I like about spring is that it means we are one bit closer to summer! :D And it (usually) means that there will be no more snow! Yaaaaay.
Except last week it snowed, so I'm not sure about it.

My husband and I consider the first day of spring to be the day the scouts (usually three of them) come back to nest in our two purple martin homes that are situated down at the lake front. We can hardly wait to see them fly in usually just toward the end of March, probably the day this giveaway ends. Now that is what I like about spring.
