drey's thoughts:
Presumed Innocent is a riveting tale of murder, politics, corruption, and cover-ups. Rusty Sabich had an affair with a fellow lawyer, who (after parting ways) ends up dead. And guess who is lead prosecuting attorney for the investigation? Don't think too hard...

It doesn't take too long before things start getting hairy for Rusty. Evidence skips off into who-knows-where. Evidence that points to his involvement in the deceased's condition. Next thing you know, he goes from investigating, to being investigated.

It's hard to believe Presumed Innocent was published in 1989. It still reads fresh, and even though I've read the book and seen the movie, I still went whoa at the end. I cannot wait to pick up Scott Turow's Innocent, coming out next week.

I read this book many years ago and really liked it. Loved the movie and watched it again recently. I had thought I would re-read this one before INNOCENT came out, but I don't think I will get it done. I'm hoping for good things from INNOCENT. Kind of hearing mixed reviews about it. That's usually the way when an author decides to revisit a character written some time ago. Thanks for sharing!

I read this way back when and loved it. The premise was so new and fresh back then - I'm glad to see it's withstood the test of time.

That's that Harrison Ford movie isn't it? I vaguely remember seeing it I think.
