Saturday Spotlight: Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs...

May 15, 2010
Today's spotlight is on the latest addition to Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, Silver Borne.

I love Mercy, and I cannot wait to get my hands on this. I'm just trying to decide if I want it in hardcover, wait for the paperback (because that's what all my other copies are in), or get the whole dang collection onto my nook! Rock, paper, scissors?

silver borne

When mechanic and shapeshifter Mercy Thompson attempts to return a powerful Fae book she'd previously borrowed in an act of desperation, she finds the bookstore locked up and closed down.

It seems the book contains secret knowledge-and the Fae will do just about anything to keep it out of the wrong hands. And if that doesn't take enough of Mercy's attention, her friend Samuel is struggling with his wolf side-leaving Mercy to cover for him, lest his own father declare Sam's life forfeit.

All in all, Mercy has had better days. And if she isn't careful, she might not have many more to live...

Find Patricia Briggs online at her website, www.patriciabriggs.com. Check it out to see what she has to say about Silver Borne and for an excerpt!

You've got a nook, and it's cheaper there than hardcover - why wait? Use your nook! :)

Hey Drey,
That is one of the new things I am curious about the nook, rather people would buy their favorite book series for the nook while they already have it in another form??

Good news is that I have about half of the funds needed for my very own nook. Thank-you for the wireless coverage map that you sent me. That really helped make up my mind. One question, what comes with the nook? I am trying to decide if I need anything extra to make my life more nook friendly.

Nice new look for your blog. Take care my friend.

I have only read one of the Mercy books. I liked it but didn't love it. I do have the second one here to read one day.

wheels!!! i was getting worried 'bout you, haven't heard from you in a while!!

Anyway. I have George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice & Fire on my nook. Can't help it. I've gone thru two sets of the books in pb already, then it's time to put it on a more "hardy" container, lol!

I also have a cover for my nook. It's pricy, but totally awesome. Check out Oberon Designs' nook covers. You'll want to save your pennies! :)

& thanks for the comment... I'm still playing around w/ the new format, lol... Trying to figure out exactly what I want. Or, what I'll put up with... :P

later!
