Wow, this looks great! My dad loves to read and is probably one of the reasons I like to read so much since he would take me to the library whenever I wanted when I was little.

I already follow you in Google Reader, posted on my blog here: http://debbiesworld.wordpress.com/other-book-giveaways and am about to tweet about it.

My father has been gone for many years, so I'll talk about my husband. We've been married for almost six years and from the start, he accepted my grown children completely. He's now fallen madly in love with the grandchildren and they sure adore their grandpa. He is also a reader, so he is very patient with my stacks of books around the house. He just doesn't understand how I can't seem to part with them!

I'm going to post about my husband who because he is a wonderful and caring father, I was able to go back to school at age 30.
He and our 4 kids were in the audience when I graduated nursing school. I'd have never made it without his support and encouragement.

My father has been gone for almost 13 years now. Even without a high school education he took good care of his family which included my grandmother who moved in with us. He also served in World War II. I still miss him and wish he could be here to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

This is great! I've read Outliers and would love to have a copy to share with family members.

My father lives in Asia, with a 12 hour time difference. I don't get to speak with him or see him often. He'd spent most of his time working when we were growing up and then allowed us to go abroad for school. I really value the little time that we spend together. It would be great to send him a package with well chosen books!

My high school graduation was fun, but unusual. I went to home school, so I basically graduated with a bunch of strangers. But the cool part was we all got to make individual mini-speeches if we wanted, instead of one or two students speaking for us all.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Grad comment.
My sister asked me to make her grad dress. We went shopping for fabric, pattern, etc. I had it all done on time. It looked pretty good too. What I didn't find out until years later was that on her way into the banquet hall my sis noticed a thread hanging from her hem. So she grabbed the thread pulled then broke it off. The next thing she knew the 11/2" hem was down. And it stayed that way for the whole night.

My father has passed away. He served for 4 years in WWII and I'm still very proud of him. I'd like these for my hubby. He's especially love the Lincoln book. He works hard to support us and then does things constantly with our kids. I hear so many women complain about their husbands and I feel very blessed.

I don't think I really realized during my high school graduation that it would be the LAST TIME I would see some of those people. I'd seen them day after day for years, and it just didn't occur to me that they would be moving out of my life at that point. It's probably a good thing that I didn't realize it, since I would have likely been terribly sad . . .

My dad passed away when I was 13 when we had a house fire. I guess if I were to combine the two topics here I would say that I wish dad could have seen my boys graduate. It would have been something pretty cool.... I wish my kids could have had that relationship with someone who was an incredible father to me, I know he would have been an even greater grand dad.
