The Back to School Reads Giveaway!

August 6, 2009

Hope y'all are ready for this next giveaway from Hachette!! To celebrate the end of summer, and kids-going-back-to-school, here's some thought-inspiring books for parents... Ahhh, the quiet! Ooh, the serenity! Five lucky winners will receive all five books:
  1. NurtureShock by Po Bronson, Ashley Merryman
  2. Close Encounters of the Third-Grade Kind by Phillip Done
  3. In CHEAP We Trust by Lauren Weber
  4. The Love Revolution by Joyce Meyer
  5. Six Pixels of Separation by Mitch Joel

Want 'em? Of course you do! Here's how:
-- This is open to residents of the USA and Canada only, no PO Boxes, please.
-- Contest will run until 6:00pm CST September 15th. Can't wait? Click on the links to purchase from Amazon.com.
-- For one entry, comment and share: Is back-to-school time good or not? It's kinda bittersweet for me. The little man's going back to school, and he's excited to learn new things. But back-to-school time means summer's almost over. Which means that winter's coming (ASoIF, anyone?). Not one of my favorite seasons, that's for sure.
-- Following gets you another.
-- Sharing via twitter, blog, email, etc. gets you two entries for each action (be sure to let me know what you did & where, or cc me on emails).
-- Please make sure I have a way of contacting you if you're a winner.
-- HAVE FUN!

And, don't forget to check out West of Mars--Win a Book! for more giveaways!

Back to school is not an issue with me since my children are adults now...but I don't like the idea that winter is not far behind. Of course, that's why I left Michigan and moved south...shorter, milder winter weather!

I always have thought back to school was a good time. Who can resist a new box of crayons? And I really do love fall. I am lucky to live somewhere that fall really pops--lots of beautiful colors from the trees.

Please count me in!

Right now back to school is a good thing because I'm on maternity leave with a baby and a 3 yr. old and it's a challenge...I always liked it as a student because new clothes, seeing your friends again, etc. I like that it signifies the beginning of fall for me but I hate that winter follows.

I think back to school is an intriqueing time for parents and children. It is a time for children to learn and sit down with parents and tell them all about it. It is a way you as a parents get to learn along with your children. I think that is exciting.

I would love to read these books. YAY for Hatchette for offering these books for giveaway.
