This collaboration between Patterson and Ledwidge is a fast paced, action-packed read. Detective Michael Bennett is a likable character, with his conscience and his brood of adopted kids... The plot is gripping, with the villain kidnapping rich kids and grilling them with questions. If they can't answer correctly, they die. All while the cops are trying to find them, and the bad guy, while dealing with the kids' parents. Who, being rich and all that, come with a whole lot of attitude towards the detectives.
I enjoyed Worst Case, even though I thought it was pretty predictable.

I won this from Bingo, so I should be getting it soon. Patterson's books are predictable and formulaic, but I still enjoy them! Nice review!
Oh I will add this to my list for sure I just read The Quickie with the same collaboration and loved it.
Thanks for giving your thoughts on this book. I'm reading Run for Your Life, the second book in this series right now and just finished Step on a Crack, the first. Yes, they are predictable and somewhat formulaic, but sometimes that is just what I want. I'm looking forward to this one next.
