There are days when I feel bad for Kaylin--usually because she's prone to inserting-foot-in-mouth, and then chomping--and then there are days when I feel really bad for Kaylin. *sigh*
Like when she has to deal with dragons, especially when "dealing" involves lessons. Etiquette lessons (you know, so she doesn't tick off the wrong dragon and end up as afternoon snack). And when she has an oracle predicting trouble... Or rather, all the oracles predicting trouble. Then she visits Evanton and disappears into some sort of warp. She knows that something's really, really wrong. And it's a race against time for Kaylin, as she tries to figure out what.
Michelle Sagara brings a new twist into this latest addition to the Chronicles of Elantra series. At 503 pages, there is a LOT of Sagara's awesome action packed story-telling between the covers, and she even steps into the realm of the Kaylin-Severn and Kaylin-Nightshade relationship possibility. And I really really REALLY want Cast in Ruins to come out, like, NOW, because I need to know what happens next!! *whine*
