Lauren Gray Hawthorne needs to make things pretty, whether she's helping her mother keep family skeletons in the closet or sewing her acclaimed art quilts. Her estranged sister, Thalia, is her opposite, an impoverished actress who prides herself on exposing the lurid truths lurking behind middle class niceties.I have a copy for 5 lucky winners - if you live in the U.S. & Canada, & have something other than a P.O. Box address! To enter this giveaway, comment & tell me: Do you believe in ghosts? If so, why? **cue spooky music** & par for the course here, +1 for followers, +2 for sharing. Do remember to let me know what you did & where. =)
While Laurel's life seems neatly on track-- a passionate marriage, a treasured daughter, a lovely suburban home-- everything she holds dear is threatened the night she is visited by the ghost of her 13-year-old neighbor Molly. The ghost leads Laurel to the real Molly, floating lifelessly in the Hawthorne's backyard pool. Molly's death is an unseemly mystery that no one in her whitewashed neighborhood is up to solving. Laurel enlists Thalia's help, even though she knows it comes with a high price tag.
Together, they set out on a life-altering journey that triggers startling revelations about their family's haunted past, the true state of Laurel's marriage, and the girl who stopped swimming.
This all ends on May 22nd! Come back after to find out if you're a winner! Can't wait that long? Click on the cover to get your own copy from Amazon!

I don't know whether or not I believe in "ghosts" or "spirits". I used to. Now I'm back on the fence and rethinking it.

I believe in "spirits" which may be the same as ghosts, who knows.
I was in a hotel in England, alone in my room, mid afternoon when I heard heavy footsteps outside of my room and then a chorus of doors closing. I went to my door and there was nothing in the hallway, not one person, nobody! I later in the day told someone who worked at the hotel the story and they informed me that the hotel was thought to be haunted.
Freaked my freak I tell ya!
Thanks

I believe in ghosts. I've never seen one, I just believe they are there.
Hm...I guess I don't really believe in ghost? I get scared of the stories and all but...honestly, no, I don't think I believe in them. Maybe if I see one one day, I'll change my mind.
I already follow.

I don't believe in ghosts. I love fiction about them, though (as long as it's not too spooky), so please enter me.

I truly do believe in ghosts, both good and bad. There's lots of bad spirits out there pretending to be good just to lure you in!
No need to enter me, just happy to post this on Win A Book for you!
Yes, I believe. Sometimes, I feel them around me, or smell them or feel them touch me. Ghosts, spirits....not sure but it's something.

Believing in ghosts depends on the day, but I'm more inclined to say yes than no.

I definitely believe in ghosts. I could tell you some crazy stories from living in a 100+ year old house. There's just no other way to explain some of the stuff.
I follow.
I <3 mysteries, so I would love to win.
I don't believe in ghosts, though I do believe in the Holy Spirit. But I sure think it's fun to imagine about ghosts and I love ghost stories. Please enter me. Email is in my profile.
i do believe....i saw one when I was 5 and I have never doubted since
I don't think there are dead people running around trying to scare the bejeebies out of us, if that's what you're asking. But I do think there is some sort of communication now and then with loved ones who we were especially close to.
I believe in spirits. I've had several experiences that let me know someone (a deceased friend, deceased family members) was watching over me.
Please count me in - Thanks!

Do I believe in ghosts?
Yes, I do I don't think we are the only one's walking around on this planet.
annmariebro(at)hotmail.com
I do believe in ghosts, of course.
I think some people are too much for one plane. They are just too full of a spirit to fit all in the Afterlife or this life, so they have to straddle the two, complete in neither one. I've met people like this, and I hate to think that they just go away.
No, I don't believe in ghosts but it's fun to imagine.
Ghosts?! Spirits?! I do believe there is a fine line between life and death of the soul. My sister and I have had otherworldly signs that we believe came from our mom and brother who passed away four months apart several years ago. My sister's experience is very convincing. We are open minded about paranormal activity. Many thanks, Cindi

Hi
Yes I do believe in ghosts. Why? Because I often get this creepy feeling that others are around and I believe that the past dead can watch down on us. If only they could help us in this life.
Cheers.

I most certainly believe in ghosts. Why? Because I've seen them for myself. It unnerves me.

Do I believe in ghosts? I don't believe that peoples souls / spirits linger here after death, but I do believe that everyone gives off energy and the places they spend time in absorbs that energy. I spent time at Gettysburg (off the visitor's trails) and I am convinced that the energy of all the soldiers who died there still lingers.
I would be very interested in reading this book. Please count me in. I have been an inconsistant follower of your blog, but I am trying to be more diligent.
