drey's thoughts:
Annabel Lake is a woman on a mission to save her family--and their brewery--from ruin. She travels to London to ask for help from one of her competitors, but is quite surprised to find the grandson where she expected the grandmother. Lord Jarret Sharpe is running his grandmother's brewery to get out around her threat to disinherit him if he doesn't marry. A completely unrepentant rake, he loses a wager with Annabel and finds himself reluctantly agreeing to help her family brewery.
He travels to Burton to check out the brewery and meet her brother, and there finds himself intrigued by the local gossip, Annabel's past, and his own feelings. A Hellion in Her Bed is a delightfully romantic story, and the characters are very well-drawn. You can't help feeling for Jarret, even as you want to thump him on the head for being such an idiot. You also know that there's a happily ever after, but it's the journey to get there that's worth reading. Pick this one up for a quick warm-fuzzy this fall.
