I apologize to all y'all. I'm going to turn on word verification for a while. I logged in to the blog this morning to find that someone's spammed me. All over. & it's all in Chinese, so I can't even say if it's for anything good!! =P
So, right now, I'm going around and deleting all comments by "ed". While cursing "ed" under my breath. With, guess what? =)
Have a great day. & please don't hate me for word verification!! I promise to take it away in a while.

I have a little something for you @:

The word of the day is _____. LOL.
Hi Drey
Sorry to read that you have been spammed. I saw it when I checked your blog today. A couple of blogs that I check-out each day use word verification so it does not bother me in the least. If word verification would help you keep the spam off your blog than please use it. I don't think your followers would mind. Take Care my friend. All the Best,
Robert
I had to turn on my comment moderator for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago when Ed visited for the first time. Then the rascal has the nerve to come back (I can tell by the live traffic feed meter). He's been traveling all over the blogasphere. I'm keeping the moderator on - what a pain!
Oh no! He has been visiting tons of bloggers, silly ed.
hmm... maybe i need to sic "guido" on ed! =)
Most blogs I go to do the word verification. No big deal to me. Hope you have a better tomorrow.
OMG! In cChinese, are you serious! That's the funniest thing ever! Not the spamming of course, that part sucks but in Chinese.
Doesn't bother me in the least - if you take the trouble to comment, what's typing a few more letters. Oh, and that malware I mentioned in a previous comment is linked to a blog that you link or reference - the site readingandreadingandreading.blogspot.com or something appears to host the malware - not you! Sorry if I caused a panic.
lilly ~ yeah, isn't that too funny? =) I can only read a few characters in Chinese, so that spam was totally wasted on me. =D
Charley ~ I saw that. I don't know where that link is, though... I've been looking for it. =( I will have to do more digging. I LIKE chrome!
The not so lovely Ed has made his way to a few friends blogs. When you go to check out his username you're pointed toward a porn site.
I think because he's posting in Chinese it's totally being ignored and not reported. No problem with word verification. I enjoy you enough it's not a hassle at all. Sorry Ed found his way to your blog. (Hugs)Indigo
Sorry about that guy.. he got a lot of us last week also. Annoying as heck.
Word verification is no big deal. If it keeps those spammers away, it's worth it.
Welcome to the horrible world of spam! I have to send spam to my outbox everyday on my blog, Yuck!
I have gotten where I am afraid to open ANONYMOUS comments, especially when I look at the details and they look funny...and that is WITH word verification...yes, I am neurotic to a fault! But sorry, Drey about the S-P-A-M! I don't mind the word verification myself at all!
Hi Drey,
I was over at Sci-Fi Guy's blog the other day and wrote a comment for him. I put the word verification in and the letters ended up in the comment box just before the word (Hi). I laughed so hard at myself for such a mistake that I kept it in the comment hoping that Doug would get a laugh out of it too. I hope your day is going well. Take care my friend have a great night!!!
Robert
Ok, ed came back!! How on earth?? =(
Seems this has been happening a lot lately. :(
Hey, Drey. Thought I'd stop in and see how you're doing. Lo and behold I discover you've been spammed. So sorry. What a PITA! Wonder what motivates guys like "ed." Trolldom. Anyway, I don't mind the verification either, so no big deal.
Wonder what ed said...
Oh man! Ed got me too a few weeks ago.....had to turn on word verification as well =(
I've gotten Ed a few times myself. When I see him around I put comment moderation on then take it off. What a pain.
Ed sure does get around, he got me too. He is really a nuisance. I really don't get the point of spam that aren't advertising something.
BTW he got me when I had word verification turned on.
