Hey everyone! If you haven't entered already, there's only 2 days left for my National Poetry Month & Earth Day giveaways!

A lot of you have shared your favorite poems & authors, and a lot of you have shared what you're doing to reduce reuse & recycle. & I thank you.

As for myself, let's see. I've already mentioned that I'm not a poetry aficionado. But I do like Robert Frost's poem The Road Not Taken:
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
I'm almost ashamed to say, it's probably the only one I know - by title, author, and reference...

As for Earth Day. Let's see... We recycle - everything we can. I'd love to consume less, economy be darned, but if wishes were pennies I'd be rich (& could quit my day job!)... I use paper when I forget my reusable bags (blogged about the darn bags on drey's house, quite a while ago; I supposed I could update that adventure!), and never bag purchases that I can carry unbagged. We also invest in renewable energy via a program with our utility company, and have plans to update windows and doors for better insulation. We can do much more, that's for sure. Some of y'all put me to shame!!

Ok. That's it for the reminder post (& quite the reminder post it is!!) - go enter if you haven't already! ttyl!

One of my favorite poems. Thanks. We are on an nrg plan w/ the utility company, too - sadly, the bill doesn't reflect it & we shut off the lights when not in the room & turn on only when we absolutely must.

I love Frost's poetry. Have you read LEAVES OF GRASS by Walt Whitman? Everyone should read it!
